About blocking

A lot of my favorite bloggers have recently run into the problem of their internet providers cutting off access to their blog pages. Generally this happens only for people at work who are able to update in the wee morning or late at night from their home ISP.

But, let’s say you’re a student. And you’re trapped at a school that blocks your website. And your myspace page. And you can’t do one gd thing about it. Well, your name would be LA. That’s right, gossip hounds, Junk Feud is BACK. Again. For real. For now. Until LA goes back to school where it’s all blocked again.

My work does not restrict any pages except those that are deemed to be part of phishing scams or bot networks. I will never want for bandwidth that I cannot have. Therefore, it makes me sad that so many of you are being restricted. It makes me want to cry a little. I can’t believe I even had the intuition to visit LA’s site again, but I couldn’t be happier that one blogger has (temporarily) overcome her obstacles to get back to what she does best – gossip. Ginormous hugs to LA. We all missed you so much we almost could not stand it. Welcome back, Sweetie. :)

Specialities

Hay would like me to submit some of my photos to our local fair’s art exhibit. I’m looking into that.

Last night I spent 20 minutes trying to get the perfect picture of a common blue butterfly and when I had lost all hope she sat down on the ground and spread her wings for me.

It was truly a special moment. I did let her lick my hand for a good ten minutes before that, and she must have sensed my sadness at not having captured the very perfect picture of her, so she wanted to make me happy.

One of my co-workers is a farmer. She spends the morning tending to her animals, then comes in at around 11:00am to work until about 7:00pm. It’s nice that my employer allows her to be flexible with her schedule like that. Sometimes her animals get loose and she has to leave at a moment’s notice. She never gets in trouble for this, just makes up the time as she can. The reason I’m telling you all this is because I can always tell when she arrives. It’s not because I hear her voice or the jingling of her keys. It’s her scent. She always wears this wonderful perfume that is the essence of a springtime garden. I love the scent of it wafting into my office, love how it always puts a smile on my face.

What’s putting a smile on your face today, bloggies and -ers?*

*(Je vous promets, I am not related to Mr. Rogers, just having a good day despite the early morning disasters which are not worth mentioning.)

Wah.

Note to self: You cannot take your bootcamped Mac to your conference because they want you to have Win XP SP 1, but Boot Camp only works on SP2 or higher. Doesn’t that just suck donkey assballs?

(I’m such a potty mouth.)

Don’t it figure…

So, anyway, I’m all nasty and sweaty and probably bad-smelly because it was supposed to storm tonight but when I got home it wasn’t doing that yet so I busted ass to mow the entire lot of land. And what do I see outside? Freakin’ sunny sky. No rain. Not even a hint. Stupid weather. *mumble* At least I worked some calories off, eh?

“Pet me!”

Oscar cuteness Oscar

Hay and I were at his grandmother and cousin’s dual birthday party. Oscar was in the corner sleeping, but I couldn’t resist waking him up so that I could give him some lovin’. I think he appreciated it. :)
