in kind

Whenever I can I perform acts of kindness for strangers. A period of unemployment certainly helped to remind me of my love for this action, and I am grateful that my new job location allows me to have almost daily opportunities to help people I will probably never see again.

If I helped you today, even just through my words, please pay it forward to someone else in need. Thanks. :)

  1. The random acts of kindness are not doing it for me anymore. So I’m trying to do more kind acts of randomness now. Works well. ;-)

  2. i love this about you.

(not so) quick story about my favorite random act of kindness. my mom and i were driving on the pennsylvania turnpike. when our exit approached, my mom put the toll ticket between her lips while she drove and fished for the correct change. not finding it, she decided to just give the attendant a twenty and pay for as many cars behind her as it would allow. when she approached the booth she went to take the ticket from her mouth, but found that the dry paper had sucked the moisture from her lips and stuck them to the ticket. she pulled, taking a layer of skin with the ticket. blood dribbling down her chin she tried explaining to a rather unfriendly booth attendant what she was trying to do with the twenty. i couldn’t stop laughing as mom began to crack up, practically wheezing with laughter. i know i am doing the story no justice, but it is a wonderfully fond memory for me and taught me that doing good for others sometimes hurts, but is all over a positive experience!

  3. You’re such a good soul.

Thanks for the reminder to look outside of myself.

I hope the kindness comes back to you threefold.
