I’ll take a water

Today Dawg and I went to the movies to see The Campaign. We had originally intended to go see The Bourne Legacy after I pleaded with Dawg to not see The Expendables 2 during opening weekend. I can’t have people touching my arm right now, and the idea of a crowded theater made me fearful of this happening if we lined up with the crowd for the opening weekend movie. When we left the apartment we had intended to spend some time with dropping off the laundry but the paper sign on the shuttered building said “Closed Saturday / Family Emergency” so we went straight to California Pizza Kitchen instead where we learned that my favorite Korean BBQ steak tacos had been removed from the menu due to lack of popularity by people who are too stupid to enjoy the tastiest tacos on Earth, but whatever you jerks, I’ll make them myself. I got a thin crust pepperoni and applewood smoked bacon pizza.

Even though we had very slow service at CPK because our server was also the bartender, we were an hour earlier to the movie theater than previously anticipated and decided to see The Campaign instead. I don’t know what was wrong with the water at the theater but they could not sell us fountain soda today so I got a popcorn and a bottled Dasani water, at room temperature because they kept running out of the bottles in the cooler since that was the only beverage they could sell, so had to keep restocking. I really enjoyed drinking that water with my popcorn. I think I’ll get water again next time.

The movie was really funny, too.

  1. Water is my go-to whenever I hit the movie theater. I love paying $5 for a bottle of Dasani. ;)

The only time I’ve ever had Korean BBQ tacos was at the greatest food cart ever down in Key West. But in a pinch you can buy Trader Joe’s Bool Koji and make your own.
